Meet Sarah

A Little More About Me

I'm also the mother of two adult daughters, so I understand personally how much our identities can shift as our children grow and our roles change.

Like many of the women I work with, I've also lived through seasons of significant change and loss that have asked me to let go of what I thought life would look like and find meaning in what comes next.

Those experiences have deepened my belief that change—even when we didn't choose it—can become an invitation to live more intentionally.

Coaching & Therapy

I maintain a private psychotherapy practice for clients in Maine. My coaching is therapist-informed but distinct from psychotherapy: it's a forward-focused, collaborative process designed to help women navigate transitions, gain clarity, and create meaningful change.

Coaching is available throughout the United States and internationally.

Welcome—I'm so glad you're here.

If you've found your way to Midlife with Meaning, chances are life looks different than it did a few years ago.

Maybe your children are becoming adults. Your relationships are changing. Your career no longer feels like the right fit. You're caring for aging parents, navigating loss, or simply wondering why the life you've worked so hard to build no longer feels quite like your own.

If that's you, you're not alone.

I created Midlife with Meaning because I believe this season of life isn't about losing yourself—it's about rediscovering who you are beneath the roles you've carried for so many years and intentionally creating a next chapter that feels meaningful, authentic, and deeply fulfilling.

My Background

I'm Sarah Spiegel, M.A., LCPC—a therapist-informed coach, speaker, educator, Princeton University graduate, and founder of Midlife with Meaning.

With more than two decades of experience in the mental health profession, I've spent my career helping people navigate change, relationships, identity, loss, and the challenges that come with different seasons of life.

Today, I work with coaching clients throughout the United States and internationally while continuing to maintain a private psychotherapy practice in Maine.

My Approach

My coaching is warm, collaborative, and practical. I blend psychological insight with thoughtful reflection and real-life tools to help women gain clarity, trust themselves, and move forward with greater confidence and intention.

I don't believe you need to reinvent yourself or have everything figured out. Sometimes meaningful change begins simply by asking: What still fits? What doesn't? And what do I want more of now?

One idea you'll hear often in my work is:

You can care deeply without carrying everything.

It's a philosophy that applies to so much of midlife—from parenting adult children and caring for aging parents to changing relationships and learning to make room for yourself again.
